This modular piece was inspired by a childhood experience. Concrete structures have always symbolised safety for me, When I was seven years old our family home was destroyed during a tropical cyclone and we were evacuated to the shelter of a concrete school building. I remember walking through the ruins after the storm and searching for anything worth salvaging and finding that everything had been destroyed…
